ART AWARDS IN NATIONAL EISTEDDFOD

We entered the National Eisteddfod Academy’s Young Performer Showcase for the first time this year, and our learners achieved fantastic results!

All our learners who entered received awards:

• Jordan Olivier – Visual Arts Painting Grade 9 = GOLD CERTIFICATE
• Chloe Dias – Visual Arts Painting Grade 9 = GOLD CERTIFICATE
• Chloe Dias – Visual Arts Drawing Grade 9 = GOLD CERTIFICATE
• Stefan Schalkwyk – Visual Arts Painting Grade 9 = DIPLOMA
• Daniel Banda – Visual Arts Painting Grade 7 = GOLD CERTIFICATE
• Michael della Ngatchou – Visual Arts Drawing Grade 10 = SILVER CERTIFICATE
• Michael della Ngatchou – Visual Arts Mixed Media Grade 10 = DIPLOMA

The marks for each award category are:
50 – 60%: Certificate
60 – 70%: Bronze certificate
70 – 80%: Silver certificate
80 – 90%: Gold certificate
90 – 100%: Diploma

Michael della Ngatchou also walked away with the top award for Visual Arts in the grade 8 – Open category at an at an award ceremony at the Roodepoort Theatre on 26 October.
