What is My Tutor and Teaching Centre (MTTC)?

A: MTTC is a centre for learners who would fare better outside the mainstream education model. We are a private institution that provides individual attention to learners. 

Is MTTC a registered school?

A: No – MTTC is currently not registered as a school. We are in the process of registering with the Gauteng Department of Education. We expect to be fully registered during 2017.

Who can enrol at MTTC?

A: Any learner who would like to receive a more personalised education.

What curriculum do you follow?

A: We follow the CAPS curriculum, which is the same curriculum that South African government schools follow.


Can matriculants obtain a university entrance?

A: Yes, they can. Our grade 12 learners write the National Senior Certificate exam through the South African Comprehensive Assessment Institute (SACAI), which is accredited by Umalusi.

How big are the classes?

A: To ensure personal attention, classes have on average 8 to 10 learners per class. Small classes ensure individual attention.

Is there pressure on learners when it comes to dress?

A: No. Dress is not an issue. Most learners wear jeans and tops.

What is MTTC’s mission?

A: Our mission is to expand the heart, mind and character of each learner by providing a learning environment of support and encouragement. This enables our learners to maximise achievement through a rich variety of educational experiences.

What is the language of instruction?

A: All classes are tutored in English.
